Birthday Party Lead

(Hybrid • Weekdays + Weekends)

Peas Playcare is looking for someone special to take the lead on our birthday parties.

This is an ownership role. You’ll own the birthday party process from start to finish, serving as the point person who helps families plan during the week and then leading the experience on weekends so everything feels smooth, warm, and low-stress. You’ll be trusted to run parties independently so families feel fully supported, even when the Peas Playcare owner isn’t onsite.

Our parties are small, sweet, and thoughtfully run (typically around 16-20 kids). We handle the setup and flow so families can relax and enjoy the day. They’re structured but low-stress, and we focus on creating a warm, welcoming environment rather than high-chaos entertainment.

If you love organizing details, communicating with families, and creating really joyful kid experiences, this might be a great fit.

This is a hybrid role. We’re looking for someone who can work a few hours from home during the week, and then in person on weekends.

We’re looking for someone with professional experience working with customers and solving problems.

  • Someone who is:

    • Super organized and reliable

    • Warm and calm with kids + parents

    • Comfortable taking initiative and working independently

    • Tech-comfortable (email, forms, iPad, simple systems)

    • Looking for meaningful part-time work with real ownership

  • Backgrounds we love:

  • Former teachers or preschool staff

  • Nannies or childcare professionals

  • Event or hospitality folks

  • Students studying education or event planning

Who we’re looking for:

Weekdays (3–5 hours/week, remote + flexible)

  • Check bookings in our system (Sawyer)

  • Respond to parent emails and coordinate on party planning details

  • Send planning forms and information

  • Set up guest registration pages

  • Confirm pizza/orders

  • Light outreach in local parenting groups or social media to help families learn about our parties

  • Send a quick daily recap

  • This work can be done from home on your own schedule, just checked daily.

Weekends (on-site, weekend availability required)

You’ll lead our birthday parties from start to finish, working with a birthday party attendant to support the flow of the day.

  • Prep the space and party setup

  • Welcome families and manage check-in

  • Keep the party timeline flowing

  • Work with a party attendant to support the flow of the party

  • Communicate with parents throughout

  • Reset the space between parties

We typically host 2–3 parties each weekend (sometimes up to 4), so hours are fairly consistent.

What the job entails:

  • $24 per hour (hybrid and onsite)

  • ~3–5 flexible weekday hours

  • Variable weekend hours

    • Each party shift is about 4 hours

    • Up to 4 parties per weekend (max ~16 hours)

  • Weekend availability required

  • Part-time employee
