Nyack's Playroom for Littles
Enrichment classes for babies, toddlers & preschoolers in Rockland County, Westchester & Bergen County
Peas Playcare is Nyack's indoor play space for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers — and their grown-ups. Every week, families from Rockland County, Westchester, and Bergen County cross the bridge to join us for hands-on classes in music, movement, sensory play, and language, each one led by an instructor who genuinely loves this work. And when class wraps, there's no rush to leave: every session includes a free same-day Open Play Pass, so you can stick around and let the morning stretch a little longer.
Story & Sensory with Victoria
Join Victoria for a hands-on, playful class designed especially for curious toddlers. Each session begins with a short story that sets the theme for the week, followed by on-theme sensory bins and activities that invite little ones to scoop, pour, touch, and explore. From "beach day" with sand and seashells to seasonal surprises, toddlers build fine motor skills, practice early language, and spark their imaginations through sensory play.
This class offers a joyful opportunity for young children to engage their senses, connect with peers, and discover the magic of learning through play. Caregivers join alongside their toddlers, sharing the experience and exploring new ways to support sensory learning together.
Italian Immersion with Manuela
Introduce your little ones to the beauty of the Italian language through songs, stories, and play. In this engaging class, Manuela brings Italian to life for babies, toddlers, and young children. Each session blends music, movement, and hands-on activities that spark curiosity and joy, while naturally introducing Italian vocabulary and expressions.
Children sing traditional and playful songs, listen to stories, and explore cultural traditions. Caregivers can join in on the fun too, learning simple ways to reinforce the language at home. No prior knowledge of Italian is needed—just curiosity and a love of learning together.
Baby-and-Me Yoga
A gentle yoga class for caregivers and their babies to share together. This class blends simple movement and breathwork for grown-ups with playful poses and sensory moments for babies. Connect with your little one and with other families in a calm, supportive setting. No yoga background needed.
Big Feelings, Little Yogis with Meghan
A gentle, weekly series to help little ones build real tools for big feelings. Each class opens with a welcome song and mindful breathing, then moves into games centered on body awareness. Every week brings a new breathing or mindfulness exercise kids can reach for when they need a break, plus open conversation about those "icky feelings" we all get and how to name and calm them.
Taught by Meghan Nathanson, a certified yoga instructor (RYT 200) and elementary/special ed teacher of 15 years. Because each week builds on the last, this one's meant to be taken as a full series, try it first with a free trial class before enrolling. It's also a great (though not required) lead-up to our Kids Yoga class launching later this fall.
Play & Learn Spanish with Abuela Sam
Meet Abuela Sam, a bilingual grandmother who brings the warmth and rhythm of Spanish to life through songs, stories, and imaginative play. Each class opens with circle time, moves into music and a story, and wraps with hands-on play — all woven with simple Spanish vocabulary little ones pick up naturally through repetition and fun.
Designed for ages 0-6, this class is not drop-off: parents and caregivers stay in the room and can join in as much or as little as they like. This is a 6-week summer session starting August 4, 2026.
Peas Members enjoy discounted class rates, plus ongoing perks for open play and special programs. If you're planning to join us often, a membership can make visits more affordable and flexible for your family.
