Dinner Drop-off care at Peas Playcare

Heading out for a night on the town? Drop the kids off at Peas Playcare for our weekend Dinner Nights — a fun, cozy evening designed just for little ones. We’ll start with open play and crafts, giving kids time to explore, unwind, and get their wiggles out. Then we’ll head into our dining area for some local Nyack pizza. To end the night kids will wind down in our comfy Theater Room for a toddler-friendly movie that rotates each weekend. You get a worry-free night to yourselves, they get a magical evening at Peas. Everyone wins.

How It Works

  • Reserve your child’s session online in advance.
  • Drop-off window: 4:45pm–5:00pm..
  • Pick-up window: 7:45pm–8:00pm.
  • Maximum stay: 2h59m per legal guidelines.
  • A caregiver must show ID at pickup.

Ages & Capacity

  • Designed for potty-trained toddlers and older children (ages 3–7)
  • Maximum of 16 children per evening.
  • Staffing follows safe ratios and Peas internal policies.

What to Pack

  • Grippy socks.
  • Water bottle labeled with your child’s name.
  • Change of clothes.
  • A pull-up and an extra (for mostly potty-trained children).
  • Comfort item if it helps your child feel secure.

What's Included

  • 30 minutes of crafts and open-ended, imaginative, sensory play. Children may rotate between crafting, play areas, and gentle activities depending on interest and availability.
  • Kid-friendly pizza served in our toddler-safe dining room. Nut-free packed dinners from home are welcome if you prefer.
  • A toddler-appropriate, cozy movie screened at a low volume in our comfortable Theater Room. A quiet play area remains available for children who prefer to continue playing.
  • Warm, supportive, CPR-trained staff guide the evening with patience, structure, and gentle transitions.

Safety & Illness Policy

  • All staff undergo background checks and are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Peas-specific safety procedures. Our team follows daily sanitizing practices and clear check-in/check-out procedures, including ID verification at pickup.
  • If your child is showing symptoms of illness, please plan to reschedule for another day to help keep our space healthy and comfortable for all children and staff.

Yes. Dinner Night Drop-Off has limited capacity and advance booking helps us plan staffing and dinner appropriately.
Children who are mostly potty trained are welcome. They can arrive wearing a tear-at-the-sides pull-up, with an extra packed in their bag. Our staff will handle accidents efficiently and discreetly. We cannot accept diapers for Dinner Night Drop-Off due to logistics and licensing, but occasional accidents are understandable.
Yes. Nut-free meals from home are welcome. Please label all containers clearly with your child’s name and share allergy information when booking.
Yes — nut-free snacks are welcome in designated areas.
Our Theater Room is intentionally cozy and not overwhelming. The volume is kept low, and a quiet play area remains available for children who would rather continue playing than watch the movie.
No problem! As an alternative to the movie activity after pizza, your child can continue open-ended play and/or crafts.
Yes. Whenever possible, we keep siblings within sight of each other and seated together for dinner and the movie to help everyone feel comfortable.
Our team uses gentle, supportive transitions and will make every effort to help your child settle in. If they remain very distressed and cannot be comforted, we will contact you to discuss next steps.
